• In the forest where it is very not modern
• Equality finds a tunnel type thing and he goes their every night to think about things and toget away from everyone.
• Its like a hundered years ago

• The field:Equality and Liberty found each other and since then have been friends.
• The tunnel: Equality finds this and the only light they have is candles.
• The Forest:Very old and no one returns from it.

Conflicts (identify 3 - 4 major conflicts and explain the importance of each)

• They aren't allowed to write their thoughts down and we believe that they should be allowed to because they shouldn't hold everything inside.
• Women aren't allowed to speak to men and men can't speak to women and we believe that both genders need to communicate.
• They mate once a year and you don't get to choose who you mate with, we believe that this is wrong you should only mate with someone you love.

Themes  (identify 3 - 4 major themes and explain the basis of each)

• Woods-anyone who goes to it never returns so its kinda suspense
• Field-represents Equality and Libertys friendship, so it kinda sets the whole theme for the book
• Tunnel-the tunnel is where the boyz who found it are most of the time at ngiht while the others are at the meeting

Symbolism (identify 3 - 4 symbols and provide an interpretation of each)

• The tunnel because it's a place where they can go and talk to who they want, say what they want to say, and feel what they want to feel.
• The field because it's symbolizes Liberty and Equality's friendship
• The forest because it sets a whole suspense through the book because you wonder why no one returns.

Commentary (express your opinions about the book here)

• I really enjoyed the book although, I wish that it would have gone a little further so that we could tell what happens when they have a kid and live on their own. Such as what the family, technology,& economy was like for them-brittany
• I agree with brittany. I would have loved to have read more about what there life was like with the baby and bringing the other people to live with them. It would have been nice to read about them buliding there new world.- hillary =]
• I also agree with brittany and hillary, i wanted the book to continue, and i wanted to see how they were going to start a new world with the people they brought. I also wanted to read more about the baby, and him growing up and seeing how his life is.-WILL :p
